Emulsifiers mainly come in two types: colloid mills and multi-stage emulsifiers. The working principle of a colloid mill is that asphalt and emulsifier are passed together through the gap between a stationary grinding disc and a moving grinding disc, producing emulsified asphalt through grinding and shearing. Different emulsified asphalt equipment manufacturers use different grinding disc structures for colloid mills. Therefore, users need to select a cost-effective colloid mill based on the required asphalt content of the emulsified asphalt needed for the project.
