This not only affects road safety and comfort but also increases maintenance costs.

Due to the surge in traffic volume and the impact of natural climate, highways are experiencing various types of damage prematurely, impacting safety and comfort. Currently, the main challenges facing my country's highway maintenance include: the surge in traffic volume has accelerated road aging, and vehicle overloading has increased the burden on roads; low levels of maintenance informationization and mechanization, outdated management systems, and low-quality personnel, necessitating the development of new maintenance strategies; an incomplete highway maintenance management system and outdated operating mechanisms; and the overall low quality of maintenance personnel. To address these issues, we need to develop maintenance strategies, methods, and systems tailored to the characteristics of my country's highways, enhance the professionalism of maintenance personnel, and reduce maintenance costs.
