The surface after micro-surfacing is a thin layer of surface, usually 5~10mm thick, and the specific situation can be selected according to the actual situation of the road surface.
Micro-surfacing mainly treats the base with good load-bearing capacity and no obvious disease caused by base instability. Micro-surfacing cannot work on the road surface with structural damage to the roadbed. The role of micro-surfacing is equivalent to "powder coating" to improve some properties of the original road surface. It can only improve the surface performance of the original road, but cannot play a role in bearing, and does not have the ability to improve stress resistance and strengthen the structure.

The role of micro-surfacing:
1. Improve the friction coefficient of the original road surface and add a wear layer.
2. Spread a waterproof layer on the original road surface to prevent water from seeping in.
3. Improve the anti-skid performance and increase the friction coefficient of the road surface.
4. After micro-surfacing, the smoothness and aesthetics of the road surface are improved, which plays a role in returning old to new.
5. After a thin layer of overlay, the original road surface can be prevented from aging and loosening, extending the service life of the road.
6. It can fill the already stable ruts.
7. Micro-surfacing is a mechanized construction, no rolling is required, the bonding material solidifies and forms in a short time, the traffic is opened quickly, and the impact on traffic is small.
8. Cold construction at room temperature, no heating is required, no dust, no wastewater discharge, and environmentally friendly.
