As we all know, the surface tension of asphalt and water is very different. At room temperature or high temperature, mutual dissolution will occur. The emulsified bitumen equipment uses high-speed centrifugation, shearing, impact and other methods to drive the emulsified asphalt equipment, so that its particle size is 0.1 to 5 microns, dispersed in a water medium containing surfactants. Since the emulsifier can be adsorbed on the surface of the emulsified bitumen equipment, the interfacial tension between asphalt and water is reduced. As a result, the asphalt particles form a stable dispersion system in the water, thus forming an emulsified bitumen equipment.

The dispersion system is brown-yellow, asphalt is the dispersed phase, water is the continuous phase, and the fluidity is good at room temperature. In terms of the meaning of emulsified bitumen equipment, the emulsified bitumen equipment dilutes asphalt with water to improve the fluidity of asphalt.
