In the preparation process of modified bitumen equipment, temperature control is very important. If the bitumen temperature is too low, the bitumen will be thicker, less fluid, and difficult to emulsify; if the bitumen temperature is too high, on the one hand, it will cause the bitumen to age. At the same time, the temperature of the inlet and outlet of the emulsified bitumen will be too high, which will affect the stability of the emulsifier and the quality of the emulsified bitumen. What everyone should also understand is that bitumen is an important component of emulsified bitumen, generally accounting for 50%-65% of the total quality of emulsified bitumen.
When the emulsified bitumen is sprayed or mixed, the emulsified bitumen is demulsified, and after the water in it evaporates, what is really left on the ground is bitumen. Therefore, the preparation of bitumen is particularly important. In addition, everyone should also note that when emulsified bitumen plant is manufactured, the viscosity of bitumen decreases as the temperature increases. For every 12°C increase, its dynamic viscosity approximately doubles.
During production, the cultivation base bitumen must first be heated to liquid before emulsification can be carried out. In order to adapt to the emulsification ability of the micronizer, the dynamic viscosity of the cultivation base bitumen is generally controlled to be about 200 cst. The lower the temperature, the higher the viscosity, so the bitumen pump needs to be upgraded. and the pressure of the micronizer, it cannot be emulsified; but on the other hand, in order to avoid the evaporation and evaporation of too much water in the finished product during the production of emulsified bitumen , which will lead to demulsification, and it is also difficult to heat the cultivation substrate bitumen too high, the micronizer is generally used. The temperature of finished products at the entrance and exit should be lower than 85°C.
