Initial maintenance: Except for the emulsified asphalt surface treatment, which should be opened to traffic only after the water evaporates and the road is basically formed after demulsification, other treatments can be opened to traffic after rolling. At the beginning of the opening of the road, a special person should be appointed to direct the traffic or set up obstacles to control the driving, and the asphalt mixing station should ensure that the entire width of the road surface is evenly compacted. The driving speed should be limited to no more than 20km/h before forming.

In the initial stage of opening to traffic, if there is oil spillage, maintenance materials with the same specifications as the last layer of mineral materials should be spread at the oil spill site (the maintenance materials for urban roads should be spread together with the last layer of materials during construction) and swept carefully. Excessive floating mineral materials should be swept out of the road surface to avoid rubbing other mineral materials that have already adhered to the site. If there are other damage phenomena, they should be repaired in time.
Asphalt surface treatment construction should meet the following requirements:
(1) Asphalt surface treatment should be selected in the dry and hot season of the year, and should be completed half a month before the arrival of the maximum daily temperature below 15℃.
(2) Each process must be closely connected and must not be disconnected. The length of each work section should be determined based on the number of rollers, oiling equipment, etc. The road section to be constructed on the same day should be completed on the same day to avoid adverse consequences such as the inability of asphalt to cover the mineral material due to cooling and dust contaminating the mineral material.
(3) Except for cationic emulsified asphalt, oil shall not be sprinkled on wet mineral material or base. When it rains during construction, construction should be continued only after the mineral material is dried. During the rainy season, weather forecasts should be kept up to date for construction, and all processes on the construction section should be completed before the rain.
(4) For various exposed parts such as manhole covers, sides, platforms, and sidewalks on the road, they should be covered when oil is sprinkled to prevent pollution and affect the road appearance.
